Northrop Grumman Cyber Systems Engineer 4: TS/SCI/Poly in Chantilly, Virginia

Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer 4. The location is Chantilly, Va. The Systems Engineer responsible for preparing Release Notes, deployment packages and briefings to management for big data system hosted in the cloud. Will serve as scrum master. Responsible for tracking requirements, planned work, reporting progress to management, and testing deployments.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems

  • Understand how their tasks fit within the overall program operational objectives and perform their work accordingly

  • Removing obstacles to enhance project team efficiency and effectiveness, including reaching out to larger organizational network for impediment removal; ensuring cross-team coordination



Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related technical field and a minimum of 9 years related experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

  • Must have an active TS/SCI/Poly Clearance

  • At least one years' experience directly working with systems hosted on AWS Cloud platforms

  • Experience in preparing and/or reviewing technical and programmatic documentation

  • Experience using agile development (Kanban, Safe

  • Experience with some or all of the following:

*Organizing, building, and/or distributing software using Nexus, Maven, or Artifactory, Jenkins, GitHub

*Bash scripting and DynamoDB

*Solutions utilizing AWS services: EC2, EBS, ELB, EMR, RDS, Kinesis, S3, VPC, SQS, security group, IAM, auto scaling

*Testing with Junit and Selenium

*Nagios and Rsyslog

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Solutions Architect or similar AWS Certification

  • Two or more years' experience working with systems hosted on Cloud platforms

  • Experience leading technical planning and system integration workflows and method
