The Northrop Grumman Corporation Law Department is seeking a Paralegal 3/4 for an exciting opportunity to join our Northrop Grumman's Space Sector. Northrop Grumman is a world leader in military, civil and commercial Space development, operations and exploration. This Paralegal position will support Northrop Grumman's Launch & Missile Defense Systems Division (LMDS) located in Chandler AZ and Salt Lake City UT areas. This individual will be located at either our Chandler AZ campus or one of our Utah campuses (Roy UT or Magna UT).

Specifically, this individual will support a broad range of duties and responsibilities in the rapidly growing Space market involving both U.S. Government and commercial customers. This individual should demonstrate a heightened sense of confidentiality, discretion, ethics, integrity and professionalism in supporting a variety of sensitive matters involving national security, large contractual matters and corporate matters. Prior U.S. Government Contracting experience is highly desired , e.g., working at an aerospace company, federal government contractor and/or law firm supporting Government Contracts.

Roles and responsibilities of the Paralegal 4 will include (but not be limited to) the following :

  • Conducting legal research.

  • Leading/supporting negotiation of NDAs and subcontract terms and conditions.

  • Assisting in investigations and litigation.

  • Preparing training materials, briefings and guidance documents.

  • Preparing and managing firewalls and various databases.

  • Handling information requests.

  • Report generation and compilation.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with a minimum of 6 years' experience in a legal compliance-related position, including public or government contracting.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Focus on attention to detail, grammar/proofreading skills.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database management and budget analysis.

  • Experience conducting on-line legal research, e.g., researching statutes, regulations, case law, U.S. Government reports, subpoenas, etc.

  • Experience with investigations, document collection, and interviews.

  • Ability to execute tasks and projects independently and proactively.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to changes in processes.

  • Ability to balance multiple, competing priorities, individuals and geographies.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and foster effective, collaborative relationships with others.

  • US citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior U.S. Government Contracting experience is HIGHLY desired, e.g., working at an aerospace company, federal government contractor and/or law firm supporting Government Contracts.

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years' Paralegal experience.

  • Paralegal certificate and/or a Bachelor's degree in Paralegal studies.

  • Experience using online third-party due diligence tools, such as Aravo, Steele, WestLaw, etc.

  • Experience (or strong interest) in international anti-corruption compliance regulations, including the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the UK Bribery Act and other global anti-corruption laws.

Salary Range: $58,000 - $96,600

Salary Range 2: $71,200 - $118,600

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
