The Program Operations Manager, Central Manufacturing, for the GMD Program will provide operational focus (Cost, Quality, Schedule) for the program. The candidate will be responsible for the overall Operational performance of our products within Central Manufacturing for the lifecycle of the program. This includes proposal through delivery. The Program Operations Manager will act as the Operations leader on the program for all products manufactured in our Central Manufacturing area with accountability to the Interceptor Programs Operations Manager. The Program Operations Manager will have responsibility to ensure all operations aspects of the program from material procurement to finished product delivery are properly planned and executed in accordance with the Program Execution Plan. This includes establishing needs and driving delivery of Engineering products and support as required to support the program schedule.
Position requires an active/current DOD / SECRET clearance
Assist with all proposal efforts for the Operations team
Oversee all Material, Manufacturing Master Schedule baselining efforts for the Program in the Central Manufacturing area.
Assist in the development and execute an Operations Plan for the Program
Provide the necessary leadership to transition new program products from development to production.
Ensure engineering structure (drawings and build documentation) are developed for manufacturability, efficiency, affordability and configured for incorporation into the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Material Resource Planning (MRP).
Oversee for the Program; development, updates & improvements of build documentation for the Program products in the Central Manufacturing area.
Generate and present Production Operations Readiness Reviews
Develop manufacturing forecast for the program for the Central Manufacturing Area.
Oversee all hardware in Central Manufacturing and ensure hardware is prioritized accurately to support the program schedule working with the Manufacturing Leadership and scheduling teams.
Lead effort to establish and maintain a Program Daily Activity Schedule (DAS) for manufacturing activities.
Oversee activities of Supply Chain to ensure all material is ordered on time, tracked and if delayed, develop a path forward.
Liaison between Interceptor Operations Manager and Integrated Operations Group (Material Program Manager (MPM), planning, manufacturing, I&T and logistics).
Develop program operations status and metrics on a regular basis and present to management.
Ensure hardware is completed on time to support program schedule.
Sponsor continuous improvement team for the program
Change agent to improve material flow and empowerment within manufacturing utilizing lean practices and visual management.
Manage Control Accounts (CAM) for Central Manufacturing operations activities for the Program.
Provide an operations presence with program HW/SW change boards to ensure design changes to the vehicle or Ground Support Equipment (GSE) have been properly vetted with operations/manufacturing schedules, operational build/test impacts, and feasibility to execute the changes.
Responsible for managing the Return Material Authorization (RMA) process for the Program.
Minimum of 7 years directly related experience with a Bachelor or Master's degree
Active/current secret/DOD clearance required
