Northrop Grumman Quality Analyst 2/3 in Buffalo, New York

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Quality Analyst to join our team in Buffalo, NY. Travel: position will require travel between two sites within the same geographic area. Other business travel will be minimal, but may be required on occasion up to 10%.

Put your years of experience into a future of excellence... The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Mission Assurance team to support the Land & Avionics C4ISR Division, Emerging Systems and Strategic Initiatives (ESSI) BU, Amherst Systems Operating Unit.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement program quality plans and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses.

Ensures performance and that quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems.

Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.

Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and producing reports on the Quality Management System (QMS) as directed to support Organizational Unit, Business Unit, and Division data calls.

Ability to understand disparate toolsets to pull, mine, and report on data for root cause analysis (RCA), status reporting, and trending.

Interprets federal and/or international regulations as they apply to products and processes.. Investigates and resolves compliance problems, questions, or complaints received from other units of the company, customers, government regulatory agencies, etc. Perform audits and evaluate current policies, procedures, and documentation for compliance with government laws and regulations.

Some technical background preferred to aide in automation and data normalization efforts.

Basic Qualifications for Level 2:

Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience (or 1+ year with a Master's degree; or 5+ years with an Associate's degree; or 7+ years with a high school diploma)

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel

Strong written and verbal communications skills

Strong problem solving skills

Basic Qualifications for Level 3:

Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of relevant experience (or 4+ years with a Master's degree; or 8+ years with an Associate's degree; or 10+ years with a high school diploma)

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel

Strong written and verbal communications skills

Strong problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology or related field.

Ability to perform quality related data analysis. Experience in Product Acceptance and Qualification.

Experience with Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO 9001 and/or AS9100) and process auditing.

Ability to create and manage databases. Experience using TipQA, Microsoft Access, Sharepoint.

Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action Process. Tracking problem resolutions to effective closure.
