Northrop Grumman seeks to hire a Production Controller 2 toassists in compiling records concerning quantity, cost, and type of material received, shipped, in stock or inventory, and/or in production. Helps expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules. Assists in determining possible and actual shortages; and may initiate action to correct these deficiencies. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Inventory Control, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in production planning/scheduling or an Associate's degree plus 1 year of experience in production planning/scheduling.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrated high level of attention to detail and quality.

  • Production or Material Planning Knowledge.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Customer Interface Skills.

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.

  • Production or Material Planning Hands on Experience.

Salary Range: $36,300 - $60,500

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
