The Propulsion Systems Division of Northrop Grumman is seeking a HR Business Partner in our Promontory, Utah office. As a senior Human Resources Business Partner you will have the opportunity to partner with internal clientbase to deliver exceptional HR support in the areas of HR policies,processes, and programs (e.g. merit and promotion planning, performancemanagement, talent and career development, staffing/recruitment, etc.). You will also work closely with leadershipand employees to improveworking relationships, build employee engagement, resolve employee relations,increase productivity and develop retention strategies.

Specific duties includes interpreting, applying, implementing and consulting/advising on a variety of initiatives such as talent development, compensation, performance management, employee relations, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, organizational change management, and policy interpretation.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Director-level leaders and above in a dispersed environment.

  • Strong interpersonal-relationship; communication skills; and analytical skills.

  • Strong relationship building skills; proven track record of building collaborative partnerships as the basis for being able to influence direction and drive change

  • Strong consulting skills; able to dissect the root cause or core problem to solve and bring appropriate solutions and resources to bear

  • Deep talent mindset coupled with practical experience in driving leader development and succession planning strategies/processes

  • Proven track record of being able to assess, diagnose and design creative and innovate organizational solutions

  • Strong analytical skills; able to translate business strategy into implications for workforce (hiring, shaping, etc.)

  • Strategic thinking sees the big picture and connects the dots; also dives into the details as necessary

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or applicable field

  • 10+ years of Human Resources Business Partner experience or more years of Human Resources Business Partner experience; or 8 years with a Master's degree

Additional Information:

Position is located in the Promontory (Corrinne, UT) location. However, the HR Business Partner will have responsibility for customers at multiple locations. Successful candidate must be willing to travel between the Promontory and Magna locations (90 miles apart) as needed. Additionally, he/she may have customer located in Florida and Alabama and must be willing to travel as needed.
