Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Supervisor to provide leadership control and support to our Plant Service/Maintenance team in our Promontory, Utah offices .

Role description & Responsibilities:

The Supervisor is responsible for leadership, coordination, control and supervision of up to 12 individual contributors within the Plant Services department. The Plant Services team provides planning, scheduling, data tracking and control, budget management, Contractor/Vendor control, facility management and project support for the Promontory Facility.

Job Duties:

  • Successful candidate should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Presentation skills and ability to clearly communicate initiatives plans and expectations. Computer skills to include Word, Excel, Power Point and CMMS (Maximo).

  • Supervising 10 -12 Facilities and Maintenance personnel.

  • Ensure tools, plans, people and material are available to Engineering and Crafts to complete assigned workloads

  • Maintaining a safe work environment (personal and professional)

  • Daily tie-in with production operations manager for work load, priority and the supervision of assigned personnel

  • Candidate should have a demonstrated commitment NGC business Code of Ethics, the ability to lead others, build teams, and create an environment of continuous improvement using Lean Mfg. principles.

  • Demonstrated experience leading a work team to achieve organizational goals.

  • Demonstrated skill and initiative in resolving personnel conflicts and personnel performance problems/issues.

  • Lead/participate in continuous improvement activities

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge in planning, documentation and reporting.

  • Excellent written and Verbal Communication skills.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Detail oriented but able to understand the big picture.

  • Ability to handle ambiguity.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in business, business management, or related field.

  • 3-5 years experience leading others.

  • Intermediate to Advanced skill level with Microsoft products

  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to positively interact with workers, contractors, management, and customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of financial planning.

  • Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.

  • Knowledge/proficiency in Propulsion Enterprise System or other quality programs.

  • Familiar with industry processes.
