Quality & Mission Excellence (QME), Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS), seeks highly motivated professionals for the role of Software Quality Engineering to be located at our site in Boulder, CO. Up to 10% travel.

What you get to do:
Develop, modify, apply, and maintain standards for software quality operating methods, processes, systems and procedures. Conducts software inspection, testing, verification and validation. Implements software development and
maintenance processes and methods. Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards. Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives. Ensures that project and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contract. Reviews software design, change specifications, and plans against contractual and/or process requirements. Reviews include applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies. Performs or directs verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability. Assists Software Engineering in reporting metrics to the SCRUM process including monitoring and assisting with the Epics, Sprints, Spirals, and Discrepancy Reports (DR) entry, resolution, closure and metrics around the DR.
Assist and sometimes sub-in where needed as a Hardware quality engineer.
Cross-trained with other hardware quality engineer positions in the department.
What you'll bring to the table:
Physically able to travel, work outside occasionally, stand or sit for long periods of time
Can work flexible schedules to include occasional off normal hours as necessary to meet commitments
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Possesses good interpersonal skills to successfully interface with diverse groups or individuals
Can travel 10% of time as necessary to support installations and testing on customer sites
Self-starter with demonstrated problem-solving skills who can work with minimal direction
Bachelor's Degree in a related STEM technical field
GMD or related missile defense program experience
2+ years of experience in a quality and mission assurance, software development/test or related experience, including
but not limited to configuration management/document management
Quality certifications such as ASQ
Software AGILE development process exposure
Project Management Exposure
