Northrop Grumman Space Sector, Payload and Ground Systems Division is looking for a Contracts Administrator – Level 3 or 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is based in Boulder, CO and will be onsite.
The Contract Administrator will act as the primary interface with customers and business partners in conducting proposal preparation, contract negotiation and contract administration. The Contract Administrator will administer, extend, negotiate and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts. Conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
This position will support our growing Operational Exploitation Systems Operating Unit, which has a mix of sustainment and development programs across multiple customers. The successful candidate will have experience supporting contracts in a fast-paced organization working as both a prime contractor and subcontractor. Come join us!
Roles & Responsibilities:
Establishing successful working relationships with customers via email, telephone, and in-person, when appropriate and an ability to act as an agent of change by identifying areas for process improvement and providing recommendations for implementation.
Collaborating effectively with the program team (finance, supply chain, quality & mission assurance, legal, pricing, and compliance) to recommend and complete actions to ensure successful program performance and advise management of contractual rights and obligations.
Proposal preparation will include: examining proposal requirements and estimates, preparing bids, analyzing terms and conditions to evaluate risk, accuracy, and completeness to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
Contract administration includes processing contractual documentation and reports, advising management of contractual rights and obligations, compilation and analyses of data, and maintenance of historical information. Facilitate proper shipment, billing, and payment collection for deliveries, interfacing with DCMA as required. Preparation of weekly/monthly reports and maintenance of the contracts and accounting databases (SAP and Microsoft Access) will be required. Daily interaction with customer representatives is expected.
Leading solicitation and RFP review/analysis, proposal preparation, signoff coordination, evaluate estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
To be successful in this role, the preferred candidate will have the following:
Demonstrated experience with highly effective verbal and written communications and presentation communication
Demonstrated success working as part of a team to achieve common goals
Basic Qualifications for Level 3:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of contracts related experience – OR – Master’s degree with a 3+ years of contracts related experience
Basic Qualifications for Level 4:
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of contracts related experience – OR – Master’s degree with a 6+ years of contracts related experience
Basic Qualifications for both levels:
Must be willing to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance (Secret, Top-Secret, etc.)
Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS
Preferred Qualifications:
Active U.S. Government Secret or Top-Secret clearance that has been adjudicated within the previous 5 years
Experience working with commercial partners in the defense industry
Experience working with the government as a prime contractor
Experience working with Other Transaction Agreements (OTA)
Aerospace, Space or Defense industry experience
Salary Range: $88,700 - $133,100
Salary Range 2: $109,900 - $164,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
