Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience. 4 additional years of experience can be substituted for the degree requirement

  • Current SecretClearance with eligibility and willingness to pursue a Top Secret clearance with Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).

  • Security+ or higher level security certification, or commitment to self-obtaining the certification within 3 months timeframe

  • Previous experience with Microsoft operating system installation and administration on client and server platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Windows based client and server OS's

  • Experience with Windows Active Directory

  • Experience with Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)

  • Experience with Linux

  • Experience with VMWare

  • Experience with HPE storage

  • Experience and understanding of locking down OS's to meet STIG requirements.

  • In place Security+ or higher level security certification

  • Understanding of network infrastructure

  • Willingness to travel on occasion to provide field support
