Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems is currently looking for an RF Test Technician to work in our Dayton, OH location.

Role description & Responsibilities:

The RF Test Technician will have a solid foundation in electronics and RF circuit testing, tuning, and assembly. RF and microwave testing will require familiarity with RF wave propagation, antenna measurements, instrumentation radar measurements (RCS and Antenna), network analyzer and S-parameter test, spectrum analyzer, and power meters. Electronics assembly includes 2M soldering and other high reliability soldering techniques.

  • US Citizenship with current active DoD Secret clearanceor ability to acquire a clearance.

  • Antenna pattern and gain measurements.

  • Radar Cross Section (RCS) testing within a compact range.

  • Knowledge and use of a broad band pulsed CW coherentwide video bandwidth instrumentation radar.

  • Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) based characterization ofantennas.

  • Experience using data processing software such asKnowbell, CompuQuest, Pioneer, etc.

  • High mechanical and electrical aptitude to learn and build test setups.

  • Strong math andscience knowledge.

  • Proficient inMicrosoft office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) todocument results.

  • Demonstratedability to learn new skills and follow written procedures.

Education/Experience

  • AssociatesDegree in electronics/electrical engineering or comparable military technical training.

  • 5 or more yearsof RF testing experience.

  • Knowledge in test instrumentation will be given strong preference.

  • Background inaerospace.

  • US Citizenship with current active Secret clearance.
