Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist (2) or Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist (3) to join our team in either Baltimore, Maryland, Elkton, Maryland or Rocket Center, West Virginia.

Position Summary:

  • Identifies and works to closeout subcontracts

  • Owns the management of subcontracts that are assigned for closure

  • Coordinates and collaborates with key stakeholders such as external customers, contracts, property, security and legal

  • In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors quality and reliability, as well as the ability to support required delivery schedules

  • Identifies strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations

  • Manages performance of subcontracts, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations

  • Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities

  • Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to all necessary stakeholders and ensure that proper receipt is recorded

  • Manages and develops strategic/key suppliers

  • Reviews and approves final closeout packages as needed

Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either the Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist (2) or a Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist (3).

Basic Qualifications Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist (2):

  • Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience or a Master's degree with 1 year of experience from an accredited college/university

  • Experience in supply chain, business management, contracts or other related field

  • Prior Procurement/Subcontracts experience

  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements

  • Eligible to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Basic Qualifications Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist (3):

  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience or a Master's degree with 4 years of experience from an accredited college/university

  • Experience in supply chain, business management, contracts or other related field

  • Prior Procurement/Subcontracts experience

  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements

  • Eligible to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated management/Leadership abilities

  • Good Organizational Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite

  • Costpoint, SAP or other ERP purchasing system experience

  • Knowledge of multiple contract types (T&M, Cost Reimbursable, FFP, etc.)

  • Experience with international/foreign procurements/policies
