Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Quality Analyst for our Flight Test group in Baltimore.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using quality control statistics and analyses.

  • Ensure that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards.

  • Review, analyze, and report on quality discrepancies related to process.

  • Investigate problems and develop disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.

  • Interface with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.

  • Recommend corrective actions, dispositions, and modifications.

  • Track, verify, and coordinate documentation in accordance with governing documents (FARs, NGC Command Media, Environmental Health & Safety requirements, Flight Test Operations Manual).

  • Maintaining and distributing all technical publications used at Flight Test and maintain the technical library.

  • Develop or coordinate improved policy, methods, and procedures to achieve greater operation and cost effectiveness.

  • Ensure that performance and quality products conform to established company procedures.

  • Perform internal audits of the Flight Test Department through HQMS to ensure ISO 9001 and AS9100 compliance.

  • Assist with all external audits of Flight Test through preparation and participate as an inspection team member.

  • Develop and coordinate technical studies and evaluations and operating cost of aircraft powerplants, electronics, airframe systems, and related components.

  • Establish engine condition trends program and maintain performance charts of company aircraft.

  • Relay this information to the Maintenance department for review and actions that would be necessary.

  • Assure procedures are in place to maintain company aircraft records for compliance of company procedures.

  • Perform audits on the aircraft records both Flight and Maintenance to ensure that they are documented correctly.

  • Monitor new and recurring FAA Airworthiness Directives and manufacturer's Service Bulletins; interpret and disseminate complex technical data for proper corrective actions by field technicians.

  • Maintain aircraft baselines to reflect all additional maintenance requirements, such as ICA's.

The Quality Analyst must have strong verbal and written communication skills, proven ability to translate strategic vision into tactical application, and be a critical and innovative thinker.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience (or MS with 1 year of relevant experience); candidates with a High School Diploma or equivalent must have 7+ years of relevant experience and candidates with an Associate degree must have 5+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience performing quality audits

  • Professional experience in the Aerospace, Defense, or Airline Industry

  • Able to multitask in a challenging environment

  • Knowledge of the CAMP maintenance tracking and recording systems

  • ISO 9001 certification

Salary Range: $67,000 - $100,400

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
