We are looking for you to join our team as a Principal or Senior Principal Contracts Administrator based out of Linthicum, MD (BWI Campus- West Building). This position may be staffed as a hybrid role, typically 3 days per week onsite, dependent on program needs. This position is eligible for 9/80 flexible work arrangement (every other Friday off).
What You'll Get to Do
As a member of the Land & Maritime Sensors (LMS) Business Unit, Advanced Land Sensors (ALS) Operating Unit, you will be supporting the Advanced Land Radar Solutions (ALRS) area. The Contracts Administrator will report directly to the ALS OU Manager of Contracts and will serve as the primary contact with our customers, manage various agreements, proposal submissions, negotiations, and contracts (unclassified and classified) with various DoD and Commercial customers- with a focus on proposals and contracts developing advanced radar technology.
This position is responsible for all formal communication with the customer, ensuring the team holds NG's favorable financial and programmatic baseline. In addition, this responsibility will also include advancing product capability and customer satisfaction.
The Contracts Administrator will lead and coordinate the response to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Developing and executing negotiation strategy to reach award, including preparing proposal submittal documents and coordinating internal review and approval. Additional they will ensure proposals/basis of estimates are fully responsive to the SOW/PWS requirements. The Contracts Administrator will administer, modify, negotiate, and terminate standard and nonstandard contractual agreements. They will identify, document, and manage contract changes, oversee contract performance including schedules and deliverables, and research contract issues by preparing analysis with citations. The Contracts Administrator will interpret and advise the program team of contract terms and conditions, advising the program team on risks and mitigation strategies based on these requirements. They will coordinate and develop responses to fact-finding, evaluation notices, and RFIs. by completing various letters and forms to ensure satisfactory program performance.
This requisition may be filles as a Principal Contracts Administrator or a Senior Principal Contracts Administrator.
Basic Qualifications for a Principal Contracts Administrator:
Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of experience in in contracts, subcontracts, finance, or other business management related function - OR - Master's degree with 4 years of experience as described.
Will consider 10 years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirement.
Be attentive to detail and able to handle complex contracts with minimal supervision.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced skills using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
U.S. Citizenship required.
Ability to obtain and maintain SECRET (or higher) security clearance.
Basic Qualifications for a Senior Principal Contracts Administrator:
Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of experience in in contracts, subcontracts, finance, or other business management related function - OR - Master's degree with 8 years of experience as described.
Will consider 14 years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirement.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced skills using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
U.S. Citizenship required.
Ability to obtain and maintain SECRET (or higher) security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications for both levels:
Recent experience as a middle or senior level Contracts Administrator in the defense industry, particularly with the USMC, USN, or USAF administering platform-level or major sub-system level contracts.
Excellent working knowledge of FAR/DFARS.
Excellent working knowledge of SAP.
CFCM, CPCM, or other Contracts Management related certifications.
MBA or Juris Doctor (JD) degrees.
Recent experience negotiating and administering $100M+ Cost Type contracts.

Salary Range: $82,400 - $123,600
Salary Range 2: $102,200 - $153,200
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
