Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a candidate with leadership skills to serve as an RF Systems Section Manager in the Sensor Solutions functional homeroom. An important aspect of this role is leadership with focus on growth of the organization to meet both current and future mission needs. The candidate must possess strong people development, organizational and communications skills. The candidate will focus on keeping the team engaged while emphasizing organizational and enterprise communication.
The position is a manager of manager's role. The candidate is expected to be someone currently in a management position. The candidate will initially spend 30% of their time on support of the organization and 70% of their time on technical program work. As the organization grows within 2019, the candidate will spend 50% of their time on programs and 50% of their time on the organization.
This position requires taking time to set goals for their employees, communicate those goals, hold their employees responsible for the goals, write thoughtful and accurate performance appraisals and follow the documented performance management process. The candidate will coach and develop their employees and help them with their career development and training.
Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, management, physics, or math and 9+ years of experience.
Five years of people leadership, program management, cost account management, or business management experience.
Prior experience with the development of advanced RF systems, such as radar systems, Electronic Warfare or Mission Systems.
Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes
Secret clearance is required prior to commencing employment, with the ability to obtain higher clearances.
US Citizenship is required.
