Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Process Improvement Manager 3 to drive integration of World Class Operations (WCO) across our sector. This leadership role will be highly influential with this individual identifying best practices related to World Class Operations and working with Division Operations personnel to implement within their businesses. This role will be in Baltimore, MD. The WCO manager will be a member of the Sector Quality & Operations Excellence leadership team.

What You'll Get To Do:

  • Identify World Class Operations best practices (people, processes, tools)

  • Establish oneself as a subject matter expert on WCO

  • Work with Operations leaders across the four divisions and multiple locations to improve their business performance by integrating WCO tenets.

  • Oversee development of performance measures and dashboards to ensure appropriate metrics are visible and actionable for quality and program success.

  • Communicate across the MS Operations organization and brief Executive Leadership

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 9+ years of relevant experience

  • 3 + years of leadership experience

  • 1+ years of experience with technical and project management

  • Lean/Six Sigma Blackbelt to drive continuous improvement

  • Knowledge of Agile practices

  • Strong Systems Thinking mindset

  • Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) process

  • Ability to obtain and maintain secret clearance and special program access

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master Lean/Six Sigma Blackbelt

  • Experience managing process architectures for a large organization

  • Active top-secret clearance adjudicated within the last 5 years

  • Demonstrated success leading horizontally integrated teams to achieve a common goal

  • Independent, self-directed leader

MAQEA

Salary Range: $139,000 - $208,400

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
