Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Business Development Manager for the International market join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Baltimore, MD.
Reporting to the Advanced Ground Sensors (AGS) Director of Business Development within Strategy & Business Development, the individual will lead the team that identifies, develops and acquires International AGS program opportunities. Programs of interest include new starts and upgrades/modifications/mission expansion on existing programs. The individual selected will be the primary point of contact to customer organizations and influencers for the International AGS new business. The individual is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for capturing and effectively marketing the AGS business unit's products and capabilities to meet customer needs; thereby, translating business opportunities into contact plans, strategic win themes, supporting capture teams and wins. The individual will work with and collaborate with a team of business developers and other team members including all required functions in the Northrop Grumman Corporation, primes, teammates and subcontractors to develop and implement win strategies, compliant with Northrop Grumman's Business Acquisition Process (BAP) and International Business Acquisition Process (iBAP). This including Division, Sector, and Corporate international staff and processes to increase associated probability of success of individual capture targets.
30% of domestic and international travel required
Bachelors of Science degree.
An understanding of DoD and Service-specific requirements, acquisition processes, organizations, and people is essential.
International experience in business development, knowledge of USG FMS and DCS processes, including Offsets.
Knowledge and experience in interfacing with USG Command structure, Department of State, USG agencies and organizations associated with export and technology release.
Experience and knowledge of target country acquisition processes including Ministries of Defense, command structures, budget and acquisition processes.
A minimum of 10 years demonstrated direct or related experience in radio frequency technology is required.
Candidate should have proven experience in the establishment of new customer relationships with the objective of identifying customer needs and technology roadmaps to establish new opportunities for market/business expansion.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Masters of Science Degree.
Current DOD Secret or TS clearance
Experience in requirements development, program management, and acquisition is desired.
Knowledge of the Northrop Grumman AGS programs including G/ATOR, HAMMR, TPS-78, etc.
Understanding of and experience with the DoD FMS process.
Understanding of and experience with the DoD export policy process and associated DoD organizations
Knowledge of the Congressional budget approval process for DoD programs.
Knowledge of the Congressional Notification and export release policy and procedures
Direct or related experience in ground based radars or radar technology.
