Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Manufacturing Operations Test Engineering Team is seeking an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals.
The IPT Lead will coordinate and lead cross-discipline engineering teams (Engineering & Program Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Mission Assurance) to resolve problems.
The IPT Lead will provide Test Engineering oversight in support of testing of production hardware.
Responsibilities include assisting Test Engineering Managers with technical team leadership, project planning, cost and schedule management and tracking, technology management, risk management, performance reporting, manufacturing support and program staffing. The IPT Lead will interface with program management, the engineering team, and functional management.
Brief leadership on progress of work assigned
Interface with Cell Management and Test Engineering team to resolve yield detractors
Manage FTTTY to meet goals and coordinate required resources to develop root cause and corrective actions
Provide management and leadership to technical aspect of supported areas
Interface with program management to stay ahead of cost and schedule
Perform failure analysis on hardware trends
Coordinate with program IPTs on FTTTY resolutions
The IPT lead will also have a hands-on role in RF test, including design, development, and implementation of testing methods and equipment; troubleshooting; analysis of failure trends; and root cause/ corrective action.
The selected candidate will perform in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings. The selected candidate is expected to be self-motivated, highly-organized, and detail oriented and possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance is required for this job. An Interim Secret clearance is required to start the job; if you do not currently have a clearance, a contingent offer may be made so you can start the job once you have an Interim Secret clearance. BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or other STEM Field
9 years of related experience (7 years with a STEM MS degree)
Leadership and/or project management experience
Experience with RF test equipment (scopes, power meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator)
Experienced in RF circuit design and troubleshooting
Ability to obtain DoD Secret level security clearance. An interim Secret clearance is required to start this job.
Experience as Technical lead, Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, or other leadership role in a program office or business
function with demonstrated team building, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Experience directly managing or leading engineering teams
Fluency with developing and executing project schedules
Understanding of the Design, Manufacturing, and Test process
Leadership experience including risk management, performance reporting, manufacturing support,, hardware specification, staffing
Knowledge of RF theory and concepts
An understanding of various manufacturing processes (chip mount, wirebond, SMT, etc.
Experience with automated testing is desired
