Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking a General Manufacturing Manager 1 to join our Warehouse Operations Team located in Curtis Bay, MD (BWI).

You will oversee all warehouse operations and manage inventory control to include stock, store, and receiving functions for contractor owned materials as well as government furnished property.

What You’ll get to Do:

  • Coordinate with Production, to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet manufacturing and engineering requirements

  • Facilitate self-directed work teams and interact with internal and external customers with respect to receiving and inventory, problem resolution, and process improvement, and provide direction and training to less senior individuals.

  • Effectively lead and motivate personnel and interact effectively with internal and external customers

  • Facilitate logistics to ensure all elements of the distribution process are coordinated in a way that customer requirements and time constraints are met

  • Facilitating SAP role management, swipe access management, onboarding responsibilities, badge renewals and training coordinator.

  • Manage equipment and supply management, coordinating maintenance and calibration as needed.

  • Damaged Goods and Interplant Cycle Count administrator

  • Interplant liaison for stock order transfers and freight deliveries.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing, Receiving and/or Inventory environment, Master's degree with 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing, Receiving and/or Inventory environment; 9 years of experience in a Manufacturing, Receiving and/or Inventory environment may be considered in lieu of a degree

  • In-depth understanding of production and repair concepts in a manufacturing environment

  • Working knowledge of receiving/inventory, production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment

  • Experience presenting to executive staff / leadership

  • Strong skill base in Microsoft Office Products (Excel and Word)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Level Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Government Supply Chain Management systems and requirements

  • Familiarity with hazardous materials management and inventory control requirements

  • A working knowledge of GOLDEsp

  • A working knowledge of SAP Material module

  • Active U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance

Salary Range: $90,700 - $136,100

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
