Northrop Grumman Engineer CAD CAM 2 in Baltimore, Maryland

Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with circuit designers and/or product line engineers in the design, development, and utilization of software to simulate the characteristics and parameters of integrated systems (IS) components, modules, or complete products under operating environment. Determines user needs; advises hardware designers on characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems including integrated graphic analysisor designers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have a S.T.E.M related Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years experience and 3 years with a Master's Degree or in Lieu of S.T.E.M Degree 8 years of relative expereince

  • Senior ECAD Designer, proficient with Mentor Graphic Tools, Board Station/DA and Expedition/DXD VX versions.

  • Designer to be experienced with multiple PCB product types, especially: Complex High Speed Digital/HDI designs/blind and buried via usage and Serdes/Memory/DDR2/DDR3 routing schemes.

  • Experienced and very proficient with CES andDRC use and interpretations. Candidate to also be proficient with the use of Valor fabrication checks, DFM reports and outputs.

  • Proficientwith "PCB part placement and routing flow" is also required for dense/multi-layer/composite designs.

  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is a pre-requisite.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to Mentor and/or manage other ECAD Designers per manager's direction.Assist Engineering regarding the more refined and precise techniques used with PCB layout and routing.

Proficiency with the Zuken E3 Tool
