We are seeking a Staff NGP Ground Systems Engineer - Architecture Engineer to join our talented, diverse team in support of the Next Generation OPIR Polar Ground program. This position will be located in Azusa, CA or Redondo Beach, CA. This position will be on a hybrid schedule where most of the work will be done on-site, but we can accommodate partial teleworking upon business/program need.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support and collaboration with the program Chief Engineer

  • Serve as deputy for Chief Engineer in their absence by running particular meetings

  • Review and manage system architecture via Cameo

  • Review requirements and verification and testing plans

  • Collaborate with other IPTs across the program such as Mission Payload, Space Vehicle, Mission System Integration and Test

  • Present to and interact with customers and external contractors

  • Help with collaboration across teams and ensure high quality Contractual Document Deliveries

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM with 14 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in STEM with 12 years of relevant experience

  • TS/SCI required to start

  • Experience presenting to customers at events

  • Experience leading small teams - directing tasking, providing support and guidance

  • Experience with program cost and schedule

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering

  • Experience in developing, managing, and decomposing requirements

  • Experience in system architecture, CONOPs, or model based system engineering

  • Expertise using Cameo

  • Experience using DOORS

Salary Range: $161,000 - $241,400

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
