Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector in Azusa, CA is seeking a Staff Electronics Engineer (Level 5) to join out hardware engineering team.
Selected candidate will be a part of a fast paced team that develops new products for the on orbit signal processing of infrared imagery for national assets that help to protect the country. Primary assignment will be the architecture, design, analysis, and subcontractor oversight of digital signal processing electronics for space systems using the latest available space technologies such as on-orbit programmable Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA), multi-gigabit SERDES communication, on-board processing Single Board Computers (SBCs) and more. This includes leading a multi-disciplinary team of engineers through all phases of a development program including requirements definition and refinement, requirement flow-down and allocation, verification and test planning, review of detailed design work products, review and oversight of suppliers and subcontractors, and the assembly, integration, test, and delivery of the electronic subsystems.
Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronics, computer engineering, or related STEM degree & 14 years of related engineering experience, OR a Master's Degree in electrical, electronics, computer engineering, or related STEM degree & 12 years of related engineering experience
Experience with Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs)
Current & active DoD secret security clearance required
Master's degree in electrical, electronics, computer engineering, or related specialty (Digital signal processing, VLSI, etc)
Experience with design, analysis, fabrication, assembly, and test of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) and Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)
Experience with multi-gigabit SERDES communication
Experience with signal integrity analysis
Experience with space electronics design
Experience with cable harness design
Experience with design, analysis, and architecture of digital signal processing electronics systems
