The Next Generation Polar (NGP) team is seeking a Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer (Level 4) - Deputy Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead for the Design team. This position will be located in Azusa, CA.

This position requires technical understanding and experience in electrical design, analysis, integration & test, and anomaly investigation. The successful applicant will be assigned to perform leadership and engineering tasks for the NGP program. Specific assignments will include oversight of the overall Payload design and development, supplier management, technical performance management, risk management, and Cost Account Management (CAM) responsibilities. The candidate will ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer and product requirements to be met by the Payload and acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. The role supports the technical planning, requirement development, and analysis for the payload.

The individual will support the IPT Lead and Payload design team for Operations, Business Management, Engineering, and Program Management Office. These tasks include preparing and presenting project status, performance, and budgets to the Program Office and the customer. The individual will support program proposal generation, proposal BOE's and reviews with site leadership. Other tasks include coordinating with functional management to generate and maintain staffing plans. Additional responsibilities may be assigned commensurate with the performance and/or due to program needs.

The individual will support Electrical Analog & Power circuit design analysis, deriving design requirements from system requirements, performing trade studies, preparing drawings, performing design reviews, developing test documents, and troubleshooting support.

CAM responsibilities include Earned Value Management System (EVMS), budget allocation, schedule management, and status reporting on a regular basis to internal and external customers. The candidate will ensure Estimate to Complete (ETC) forecasts are created and submitted to Business Management and will generate and maintain QBD's and budget tracking tools. Additional tasks include tracking scheduled activities, ensuring completion dates support program needs and report on earned value.

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

· Electrical/Electronic circuit design experience

· Ability to comprehend and analyze project issues and develops resolution to meet productive, quality and client-satisfaction goals and objectives

· Clear and concise written and verbal communications skills

· Sort through complex issues and expedite the implementation of recovery plans and the elimination of critical constraints
