Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Engineer Software 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Azusa, CA.
The candidate will work with an outstanding team to perform trade studies, requirements analysis and development the high level design of the flight software which performs satellite payload on-orbit missions. As a Software Engineering Architect, the candidate will perform as an expert in technical discussions on key technological decisions involving the flight software and the payload missions. Strong presentation and writing skills are essential. Long term tasking includes developing an in depth knowledge of the overall system to gain core competency to support the payload design, development and operations for early orbit testing.
Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering orMathematics) with 9 years of experience in software architecture, design, development and/ or implementation; OR Masters Degree in STEM with 7 years of experience in software architecture, design, development and/ or implementation; OR PhD with 4 years of experience in in software architecture, design, development and/ or implementation.
Experience with defining software requirements
Experience with real-time programming
Experience with Object-Oriented programming
Experience with C++ programming languages
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Leadership experience in an engineering environment
Experience with IBM Doors for requirements management
Experience with IBM Rational Rhapsody software design and modeling tools
Experience with VxWorks
Experience with static analysis tools
Experience with as a technical lead in an Integrated Product Team environment
Experience with Spacecraft-to-Payload software interface
Experience with Ground-to-Space software interface
Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI Access
