Northrop Grumman in Azusa, CA,needs a passionate and qualified Radiometric Systems Engineer for cutting-edge Overhead Persistent Infraredto perform key assignmentsdesigning and implementing several new payloads over the next several years. The position requires solid payload systems technical knowledge with experience in IR radiometric calibration, integration and test, and performance simulations. Technical understanding in payload operations and Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) mission are strongly recommended.

This is an exciting opportunity to join development work for future OPIR payloads. In this role you will be involved in efforts from concept to deployment forinnovative technology.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)

  • 5 or more years of engineering experience in the design and testing of EO/IR payload systems

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance must be held and maintained. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)

  • Knowledge of and experience with the SBIRS Program

  • Familiarity with commonly used tools in both MS Windows & Unix environments

  • MATLAB experience

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearanceor SCI program access
