Northrop Grumman Metrology Technician Electrical/Electronic in Azusa, California
The Metrology Technician-Electrical/Electronic isresponsible for the calibration, diagnosis and repair of commercial and special purpose test equipment and systems. Assist customers with equipment and calibration requirements and assures equipment complies with current MC&S quality standards and procedures.
The Metrology Technician independently performs calibration, maintenance and repair of electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical measuring and test equipment (M&TE). This includes, but is not limited to: standard resistors, capacitors, inductors, signal generators, DVMs, counters, amplifiers, RF and microwave equipment, temperature, pressure and humidity measuring equipment. Performs field service and calibration of test systems.
Provides cross training and technical assistance as needed. Determines adequacy of measurement standards, performs uncertainty analysis and reviews measurement data for conformance to requirements in regard to accuracy and stability.
Uses computers in the performance of regular duties for administrative tasks, automated calibrations, data acquisition, etc.
Performs related and incidental work assignments including but not limited to vendor services, internal audits, Calibration Management System functions, such as recall of assets, report generation, etc. May require performing duties associated with the Asset Management Center as required including: new equipment identification, Property & Equipment (P&E) record generation, equipment rentals and leases, equipment deployments/pickup, equipment inventories, equipment utilization, issue spares, and assures proper equipment storage and surplus. Basic Qualifications:
A minimum of an Associates degree in electronics
8 years of experience incalibration and repair of electronic or electromechanical Measuring and Test Equipment(M&TE)
Experience with creatingtest set-ups to perform calibrations using established calibration procedures
Experience creating orupdating calibration procedures and test methods (manual or automated) as necessary
Must be able to perform all essential job functions and environmental / physical considerations
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.
Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) Specialist and/or ASQ Calibration Technician Certification (CCT)
One to two years' experience in calibration of RF and microwave equipment
