The Azusa Missile Defense System Exerciser (MDSE) program has an immediate need for an operator position. The candidate will be primarily trained as Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) Inc2 Mission Operator to support various Missile Defense Agency's Integrated Ground test and Flight test system pre-mission events. Along with SBIRS missions operations, they will learn to operate the support systems OSF, NSITE, and the Ballistic Missile Defense System Overhead Persistent Infrared Architecture (BOA) ground system. Additionally, they will be exposed to multiple simulation systems: OLGASim, RT-RDSim, and FOXSim. They will gain experience in functioning in a live operations type environment, including VoIP communications with other elements and real-time operational communications with other team members distributed across the country, to provide coordinated communications and situational awareness
Note: This role is scheduled towork from 6:30AM - 3:30PM M-F, this is not a 9/80 position. Occasional second shift and weekend work will be required.
Bachelor's Degree in a S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) Field
Current DoD Secret clearance must be held and maintained. U.S. Citizenship is required and clearance musthave been active within the last 2 years.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS is preferred
