Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems (NGAS) is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer 3 to join our team of qualified and diverse engineers in Azusa, CA!
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a broad spectrum of tasks that are integral to success of our space programs!
The successful candidate will have networking, computer, electrical & mechanical systems experience. Candidate will be proficient in developing, validating, operating, and supporting test systems and electro/optical/mechanical test equipment such as optical stages, optical sources, heater panels, liquid nitrogen panels and high vacuum equipment. Experience in optics, optical testing, radiometry & interferometry is also preferred. The candidate must demonstrate strong work ethics, attention to detail, and desire to learn and expand skill sets. Self-motivated with ability to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, developing and implementing test systems
Developing test plans, schedules, and other project documentation
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secretclearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.
BS in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
Experience in optics, optical testing, radiometry or interferometry
Experience with cryogenics
Experience with LabVIEW
Current DoD Secret clearance or higher must be held and maintained. U.S. Citizenship is required.
