Northrop Grumman Systems Administrator 2/3 in Aurora, Colorado

Northrop Grumman Missions Systems (NGMS) Sector is seeking a Systems Administrator 2/3 to join a support team located at our Aurora, CO location.

This system administrator will primarily be responsible for installing, configuring, securing and maintaining Linux servers on bare metal, virtualized and cloud environments

Primary tasks will including:

Roles and Responsibilities:

?

  • Deploy regular patch updates to Linux and Windows machines

  • Deploy, manage, maintain, and support Linux RedHat (6 and 7) and CentOS virtual machines

  • Configure user access to VMs and VM pools within VMWare vSphere

  • Create user accounts and administer user privileges

  • Assist users with debugging and resolving identified issues within their machines

  • Respond to monitored alerts to quickly identify trouble source and implement resolution

  • Assist with implementation of automated processes or functions to improve daily operations as directed

  • Assist with implementation of technical security technology and IT projects as directed

  • Collaborate in authoring system documentation and procedures

Basic Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications for a System Administrator2:

  • 3 years' of IT experience with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other STEMdiscipline or 7 years ofIT experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance and Counter Intelligence Polygraph

  • Background in Linux (RedHat/CentOS) administration.

  • Experience with VMware vSphere.

Basic Qualifications for a Systems Administrator 3:

  • 6 years' of IT experience with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering orother STEM disciplineor 10 years of IT experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance and Counter Intelligence Polygraph

  • Background in Linux (RedHat/CentOS) administration.

  • Experience with VMware vSphere.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Full Scope Polygraph

  • Experience with implementing infrastructures within Amazon Web Services

  • CompTIA Security+ Certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT II or III certification

  • Background in Windows system administration, including Active Directory

  • Experience with automation tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
