Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector is looking for you to join our team as a Software Engineer/ Principal Software Engineer based out of Aurora, CO.

What You'll get to Do:

Software Engineering growth position on New Moon program to work the development, maintenance, and integration of a complex software system. Candidate must possess the ability to work as a member of a small, highly skilled team in a dynamic environment and participate in systems design, code development, GUI updates, unit testing, code reviews, debugging, and integration and test of modifications/enhancements into evolving baselines. The position also requires an individual with the ability to work on technical challenges and to provide innovative solutions, to include system troubleshooting, implementation of new capabilities for future versions of the system, and support test and documentation. Candidate must have the ability to effectively interact with end-users, customers, and other developers, and must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other STEM related degree with 2 + years of software development experience; 0 years with a Master's; or 6 years of software development experience in lieu of a degree.

• Experience with Agile software development using Java and/or C++ software development in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment

• Knowledge of object oriented design

• Knowledge of software lifecycles

• Experience with version control software

• Ability to achieve TS/SCI clearance(required to start)

Preferred Qualifications:

•Experience with Bash scripting

•Knowledge of Object Oriented Design

•Experience with supporting operational systems

•Experience with supporting distributed systems

•Experience in developing and supporting multi-threaded applications

•Experience with working in Virtualized Environments (VMs, AWS Cloud Instances)

•Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)

•Experience with AWS Development/Deployment

•Experience with Dockerization and Container Management (Dockers and Kubernetes)

•Active TS/SCI /w Poly security clearance

Salary range for a Software Engineer: $77,952-$116-928
