Northrop Grumman is seeking Software Analytics Engineering interns to join the Defense Systems Intern Program. This position will be located in Atlanta, GA - supporting our teams working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Health Protection team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Participate and contribute to the design of software enhancements including Dashboards and data analytics
Code software enhancements and support the testing of the enhancements.
Build out visualizations (dashboards) of key metrics for consumption by product, and operations and teams.
Participate in Agile software development activities
Participate in Internship Events
Give a demonstration/presentation of the internship assignment to the department at the end of the summer.
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
•Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2021
•Be majoring in Computer Science or Related Degree
•Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
•Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2021
•Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
•3.5 cumulative GPA or higher
Proficient in Microsoft Office
•Strong problem solving skills, and be a motivated self-starter
•Experience or coursework in C# or web-based application programming
Experience in coursework in Python, R, Rshiny, SAS or other data analysis tools
