Northrop Grumman Technology Services (NGTS) is seeking an Acquisition Professional 4 join the Global Sustainment team in supporting the F-35 Hybrid Product Support Integration team. This position will be located in Arlington, VA.
This person will provide the team with expertise in areas related to acquisition and contracting approaches for logistical and sustainment contracting and program performance evaluation.
Specifically, this member will provide subject matter expertise for performance based logistical contracting, specifically to include requirement development and evaluation to assure conformance with an outcome based solution. Prior experience with transitioning transactional delivery contracts to a solution based will be of great interest to our team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
In this position you will be a member of the program team responsible for identifying best practices and concepts in a performance based logistics contracting environment. Part of a collaborative industry team developing a global solution for sustainment, acting as a SME for the team moving from transactional to outcome based contracts.
Working to provide the team with solutions that meet customer service and time objectives within existing financial and time constraints in order to meet overall performance objectives.
Ensure the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration, system performance analyses, requirements development and performance work statements, as well as related functions.
Build relationships with strategic customers through logistical and sustainment improvement initiatives. Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve program performance.
BS in STEM, business, global supply chain or related field and a minimum of 10 years experience or MS in STEM, business, global supply chain or related field and a minimum of 8 years experience. May also consider an additional 4 years of pertinent work experience in lieu of degree.
Minimum of 3 years experience in logistical contracting or requirements development.
Ability to work as a leader in an integrated industry team, capable of recommending new innovations or approaches to contracting and goal planning
Strong communication skills and the ability to develop solutions to complex problems
Ability to modify communications delivery based upon audience and level of influence needed to bring the team to consensus
Demonstrated ability to develop customer intimacy and participate as a cooperative member of a team
US citizenship required and the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret level security clearance
Prior experience working proposals and business development
Bachelor's degree or higher preferred
Experience or knowledge of sustainment related metrics and performance, and developing depot level strategies a plus
