Northrop Grumman Laser Technician 4 in Apopka, Florida
Northrop Grumman, Apopka, FL is looking for an experienced Laser Technician to join our manufacturingteam.
The candidate will be part of a high performing environment. Responsibilities include integrating, testing, and troubleshooting laser and imaging technology. The candidate will be responsible for building and optically aligning a high energy class IV laser. This will require the use of precision electrical, mechanical, and optical measurement equipment. The candidate will also be responsible for assembling Opto-mechanical sub-assemblies for a high energy class IV laser. This will require the use of various hand tools, cleaning equipment, and measurement equipment. Position calls for meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work from drawings, formal assembly procedures, and process control documents.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies.
Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment.
Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.
A highly motivated individual able to work well in a team environment is essential.
Will assist in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of lower level employees
Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of problems and issues
- Interface with engineering on technical and process problems
High School Diploma with an Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceand6 years related experience
Ability to follow detailed written and verbal direction, including but limited to software for circuit card or system level applications
Ability to work in collaborative and cross functional team environment
Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret data for reporting purposes
Ability to use hand tools and perform in a cleanroom environment
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft products including Excel
- Experience with testing PGS enabled electro-optical systems
