Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Specific Requirements:

The Candidate will act as a Logistics Lead on a special defense project. Typical duties will include inventory control, government property management, kitting, shipping and receiving, crane and forklift operations, DD1149 generation.

Basic Qualifications Principal Project Manager :

  • Principal Project Manager (A3) - 6yrs with Bachelors Degree.

  • * Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.*

  • 5 yrs relevant experience in project management, storeroom logistics, product support, or warehouse experience OR a Bachelors degree with 0 years of experience.

  • Can work independently without excessive oversight and direction.

  • Has excellent organizational skills.

  • Can communicate cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical peers.

  • Is proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Willingness and ability to move perform manual work (moving packages, unboxing material, etc.) on an as needed basis.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.

  • US Citizenship is a prerequisite

  • SAP working knowledge

  • Crane/Forklift certification

  • Experience taking and managing inventory

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.

Salary Range: $84,600 - $127,000

Salary Range 2: $104,900 - $157,300

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
