Northrop Grumman Electronics Test Technician - ENVIRONMENTAL LAB TECH A in Annapolis, Maryland
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an Electronics Test Technician for our Annapolis, Maryland office.
The Electronics Test Technician will perform routine testing functions related to factory acceptance testing on production components and troubleshooting to the component level for returned material from our customer.
He/she will support development engineering activities from a testing perspective in the areas of design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models, and specialized test equipment.
Applications may include analog, digital, video type circuits, and logic systems. The Electronics Test Technician will work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building, environmental testing (vibration, heat, cold, etc.), and simple developmental engineering tasks; perform routine operational tests and fault isolation on development systems and equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications; and utilize routine development or diagnostic equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, impedance analyzers, DVM, signal and waveform generators, and similar test equipment.
Qualification and experience with common industry standard practices, such as FOD, ESD, Electrical Safety, and basic solder is preferred. MANUMS
**High school diploma or GED and 2 years of relevant experience OR Associate's degree in a STEM area (Science, Math, Engineering or Technology) or other 2 year technical degree
**Experience troubleshooting electrical components
**Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
**Willingness to work overtime and 2nd or 3rd shifts when required
**Willingness to go on field assignments for short to medium durations
**Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
**Experience with environmental testing including thermal and vibration chambers
**Specific electrical and signal processing schooling
**Experience with SAP and working in a production environment
**Military electronics school
**Experience with U.S. Navy related electronic and mechanical systems
**Prior military experience
**Experience developing and using LabView applications
**Basic hydraulic and mechanical skills and experience
**Current Secret or Top Secret /SCI Clearance OR ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret /SCI Clearance
