Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Embedded Software Engineer 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located at Annapolis Junction, MD.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Embedded software development

Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems

Develop and maintain engineering documentation

Basic Qualifications:

5 years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.

Experience with Wireless technologies (Cell)

Experience with XML, Java, C, C++, Python, and web-based standards and technologies.

Experience with the Atlassian suite of software development and management products

Embedded software development

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design and agile software development methods.

Experience with XML, Java, C, C++, Python, and web-based standards and technologies.

Experience with developing, modifying, maintaining and administrating relational databases. (Experience using Oracle, and specifically Oracle 12 is preferred.)

Experience with Linux operating systems (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.x-7.x, Fedora, and CentOS 6.x and later are preferred.)

Experience with Windows Server operating Systems (Windows 2008 and later preferred).

Experience with virtual machines (e.g. VMware) and Docker software containers.

Experience with the Atlassian suite of software development and management products (e.g.Confluence, Jira) and Apache's Subversion control system.

Experience with automated software testing tools such as Test Director and Quality Center.

Experience with the Microsoft Office productivity suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required Four (4) years of additional software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
