Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Front-End Software Engineer 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located at Annapolis Junction, MD.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Candidate will provide software engineering support to include designing; developing, implementing and maintaining mission applications and GUI interfaces, using COTS software to support mission architecture; providing feedback for potential technical and design updates and improvements; reviewing specifications and providing time estimates on the development of projects and features. This support may also include technical writing; integration with certificate-based access and web-enabled applications; development of customized system interfaces and support of database related development.
Minimum5 years' experience as a Software Engineer supporting development, maintenance, and enhancement of complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements
Working knowledge of network protocols, network traffic analysis, and packet capture and analysis tools (TCPDUMP, Ethereal/Wireshark)
Experience operating in a Linux (RHEL, CENTOS) system including use of standard command line tools and configuration of networking interfaces
Demonstrated recent experience in:
Scripting to include Java Script and UI Framework development (i.e. Angular JS)
At least one of the following: Python, Perl, Java, C++, or C.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional system engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
